MALE CHANGES Men may have alterations in their sexual desire, erection, ejaculation, ability to reach or feel orgasm, or may have additional factors such as pain or spasm that interferes with their ability to enjoy their sexual life. Most often neurological changes affect erection , making it unpredictable in attainment and/or firmness or unreliable in duration. Orgasm and ejaculation speed may be altered (become rapid or extensively delayed) or it may become impossible to reach orgasm at all. Sometimes the ejaculatory fluid disappears, which can affect fertility. However, safe sex issues are still relevant. Medications taken for specific medical concerns may also have an effect on sexual functioning in men. Often men adapt to these changes by learning new techniques and recruiting sensory parts of their body that can provide a high degree of sexual arousal. Overall sexual functioning, bladder and bowel concerns, general health ,medications, current relationships and sexual self view, will determine sexual desire.
